On Lurstan Host web hosting there are no imap.yourdomain.com, pop3.yourdomain.com or smtp.yourdomain.com names. cPanel does not create them, so a mail app set up with those names will not connect.

Use our server name, cloud.lurstanhost.net, for both incoming and outgoing mail. Our server's certificate is issued for lurstanhost.net names, so your mail app can check it without a certificate warning.

What about mail.yourdomain.com?

When your domain uses our nameservers (ns1.lurstanhost.net and ns2.lurstanhost.net), cPanel also adds mail.yourdomain.com. It points to the same place as your domain, so it only reaches our mail server while your domain points to us. Your mail app may also warn that it cannot verify the server's identity. For both reasons we recommend cloud.lurstanhost.net.
