This guide is for mailboxes on our web hosting and WordPress hosting plans. The screens differ between Android mail apps, such as Gmail, Samsung Email and Outlook, but they all ask for the same details. Have your full email address and the mailbox password ready.
Business email (OX App Suite) mailboxes use different settings. Open a ticket if you need them.
- Open your mail app and choose to add a new account. In Gmail, tap your profile picture, then Add another account, then Other.
- Enter your full email address, then choose Manual setup.
- Choose IMAP (in Gmail: Personal (IMAP)). IMAP keeps your mail in step on every device.
- Enter the mailbox password.
- Fill in the incoming server settings:
- Username: your full email address, for example
you@yourdomain.com - Server:
cloud.lurstanhost.net - Port: 993
- Security type: SSL/TLS
- Username: your full email address, for example
- Fill in the outgoing server settings:
- Require sign-in: on
- Username: your full email address
- Password: the mailbox password
- SMTP server:
cloud.lurstanhost.net - Port: 465 with security type SSL/TLS (or port 587 with STARTTLS)
- Choose how often to check for mail, then tap Next or Sign in to finish.
Use cloud.lurstanhost.net rather than names such as imap.yourdomain.com or smtp.yourdomain.com, which do not exist on our hosting. Our server's certificate is issued for lurstanhost.net names, so you will not see a certificate warning.
