Yes. An SPF record tells receiving servers, such as Gmail and Outlook, which servers may send email for your domain. It makes it harder for others to fake your address in spam, and it helps your mail reach the inbox.

If your domain uses our nameservers

When your domain uses ns1.lurstanhost.net and ns2.lurstanhost.net, the SPF record is created for you. To check it:

  1. Log in to cPanel at https://cloud.lurstanhost.net:2083.
  2. Open Email Deliverability.
  3. Look at the status next to your domain. Click Manage to see the record.

If your DNS is managed elsewhere

  1. In cPanel, open Email Deliverability and click Manage next to your domain.
  2. Copy the suggested SPF record. It starts with v=spf1.
  3. At your DNS provider, add a TXT record on your domain itself (the name is usually left blank or set to @) with that value.
  4. If your domain already has an SPF record, do not add a second one. Merge the two instead, as shown in How do I add another server/include to an SPF record?

DNS changes can take a few hours to reach every server. Then check Email Deliverability again.

If you send mail through other services

The record should list every service that sends mail for your domain. If you also send through Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or a newsletter service, or all your mail goes through another provider, change the record to match. See How do I add another server/include to an SPF record?
